The Chief Delbert Yunker Firefighter of the Year award honors the extraordinary service and dedication to the fire district and its stakeholders. This year’s award recipient manages the program which has the greatest direct impact to our stakeholders; the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) program. With a 15% increase in EMS incidents over the past three years and no signs of slowing down, our ambulances and firefighter/paramedics are always busy.
Firefighter/Paramedic Brian Crabtree has been with the MFPD for the past 13 years and has served as our EMS Coordinator for several years. Some of his responsibilities include the licensure of our ambulances and non-transport vehicles, the coordination of continuing education, the researching and proposing of new equipment, and the overall management of the EMS services.
Brian is also very active in the AFFI Honor Guard and the Band of Brothers Pipes and Drums, where he represents Local 4270 and the District with pride and passion.
Congratulations, Brian – we are very proud of you!
